Job Summary and Main Responsabilities
The machinist is responsible for manufacturing custom parts and production parts, they must interpret the drawings and ensure that the parts meet the customer’s requirements. They will be called upon to work on a lathe and CNC machining center.
Read and interpret plans and specifications;
Perform set ups;
Operate a production machine and make adjustments to the machine;
Use metrology tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.), inspect measurements and deburr.
Know-How Required
Important interpersonal qualities (integrity, support, teamwork and customer focus);
Demonstrates a good sense of organization, rigor and a good working method, while having a good speed of execution and being attentive to the quality of his work;
Shows versatility and has the potential to grow;
Demonstrates good (safe) practices in the performance of their duties.
Skills We Are Looking For
DEP in machining techniques;
0-2 years of experience;
Good numeracy skills knowledge of imperial and metric measurements;
Good physical capacity;
Good sense of logical deduction to deal with different complex machining situations.
What We Offer
Workplace: 4065 boul. de Portland;
Work hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:15 pm and Friday from 7:00 to noon;
salary hourly rate to be discussed according to experience;
two (2) weeks of vacation;
paid leave during the holiday season closure (7 days);
