The Production Planner acts as a key person to plan and prepare production schedules, coordinate the receipt of materials and shipments of finished products, in collaboration with their peers, in order to promote a continuous flow of operations.
Receive customer order (EDI and emails) and update SAP to reflect customer needs in real time;
Analyze material needs (MRP function in SAP), produce the supply schedule and subcontracting, and the supply requirements to Purchasing department;
Analyze production needs and establish the production schedule according to equipment, deadlines and human resources;
Generate work orders;
Produce shipping lists;
Perform inventory adjustments for raw materials and finished products;
Work in close collaboration with the Production Supervisor, and Shipping and Purchasing department personnel.
Participate actively in production meetings;

University degree in Production and Operations Management or equivalent experience;
3-5 years of experience in a similar role;
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes;
Bilingualism essential;
Very good computer skills (Excel, Outlook);
Good written and oral communication skills;
Experience in the manufacturing industry (asset);
Experience with LISA and SAP systems (asset).
