Job Summary and Main Responsabilities
The Production Planner acts as a key person to plan and prepare production schedules, coordinate the receipt of materials and shipments of finished products, in collaboration with their peers, in order to promote a continuous flow of operations.
- Receive customer order (EDI and emails) and update SAP to reflect customer needs in real time;
- Analyze material needs (MRP function in SAP), produce the supply schedule and subcontracting, and the supply requirements to Purchasing department;
- Analyze production needs and establish the production schedule according to equipment, deadlines and human resources;
- Generate work orders;
- Produce shipping lists;
- Perform inventory adjustments for raw materials and finished products;
- Work in close collaboration with the Production Supervisor, and Shipping and Purchasing department personnel.
- Participate actively in production meetings;

- University degree in Production and Operations Management or equivalent experience;
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes;
- Bilingualism essential;
- Very good computer skills (Excel, Outlook);
- Good written and oral communication skills;
- Experience in the manufacturing industry (asset);
- Experience with LISA and SAP systems (asset).
