Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

The Production Planner acts as a key person to plan and prepare production schedules, coordinate the receipt of materials and shipments of finished products, in collaboration with their peers, in order to promote a continuous flow of operations.

  • Receive customer order (EDI and emails) and update SAP to reflect customer needs in real time;
  • Analyze material needs (MRP function in SAP), produce the supply schedule and subcontracting, and the supply requirements to Purchasing department;
  • Analyze production needs and establish the production schedule according to equipment, deadlines and human resources;
  • Generate work orders;
  • Produce shipping lists;
  • Perform inventory adjustments for raw materials and finished products;
  • Work in close collaboration with the Production Supervisor, and Shipping and Purchasing department personnel.
  • Participate actively in production meetings;

  • University degree in Production and Operations Management or equivalent experience;
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes;
  • Bilingualism essential;
  • Very good computer skills (Excel, Outlook);
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry (asset);
  • Experience with LISA and SAP systems (asset).
